Rena Patel is a South Asian American writer and producer based in Los Angeles, California.

Rena graduated from Scripps College in Claremont, California with a degree in English and creative writing in 2019. She has been a finalist in various screenwriting and playwrighting competitions. Her short play, The Noise of the Storm, was produced in 2021. While attending The Webb Schools, she was a collaborating author on The Boarding School Survival Guide. As of 2021, she is also the Executive Director of Imaginarium Theatre NY where she serves as a producer for various stage shows and readings. She is currently a law student at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles studying entertainment law and on the creative team at Bootleg Universe/1984 Private Defense Contractors/Shankar Animation.

In addition to writing, she enjoys rock climbing at her local climbing gym, geeking out about Shakespeare and Arthurian Literature, and finding new coffee shops to write in around the city.
